Karima and Lane are probably some of the most lovable people I’ve had the pleasure to photograph. They are funny, and clearly share a deep bond together. And their friends? I’ve never captured a more joyous reception, full of smiles and some pretty awesome dance moves. Seriously, these folks knew how to cut loose and celebrate Karima and Lane with genuine love and affection! Everyone was adorable and hugged and laughed all night long.
They married at First United Methodist in Uptown and exited with bubbles down the stone steps into the crisp fall air. We then wondered around a bit capturing some intimate and journalistic wedding portraits for them. I want all my couples to feel their wedding day when they look back on images years from now, after kids and moves and hardships and growth.
Wedding photography for me has always been about connection to the past and keeping images timeless so that my couples won’t ever outgrow their wedding photographs. These are more than just pictures to me. More than an art form. They are documents, treasured memories of a time when love was young and free.
Special thanks to the vendors below who helped to bring this night together for Karima and Lane.
