It’s no secret, I love Disney. Now there aren’t Mouse-themed rooms in my home and I don’t have Dumbo sheets, but I love going to Disney World. The parks are probably the only place in the world where all my children can ride 90% of the rides and me and my husband can completely unplug. So when I showed up to this sweet baby’s nursery to see a Disney Peter Pan theme (also one of my favorite childhood books!) I just fell in love.
This classic story is one of my favorites. I’ve read it many times to my girls, and last year for Halloween they all went as Hook (the baby), Peter, and Tinkerbell. And baby I’s mama did such an amazing job of making everything come to life from the story without it being overbearing. The subtle touches, like soft feathers, a clean gray pallet, and warm wood accents help to make the room as timeless as the novel.
The clock has to be my favorite. Or Tink just above the window.
Capturing the feel and the details in the room where your baby will grow up has to be one of my favorite environments to document as a newborn photographer.
Ah, that spindle crib.
If you’d like to book your in-home lifestyle session, the best time to do that is about 2-3 months before your due date to make sure there is space. Especially during the late summer/fall months.
