When Amy and Michael contacted me about their wedding in October, I was really thrilled. Not only am I kind of a fan of short engagements (literally, folks – they planned this wedding in like 4 months!!) but I’m also a BIG supporter of doing things outside the box for receptions. And while Amy and Michale were saying their vows at Holy Trinity in Gastonia, NC their reception was taking place at the Schiele Museum, known for that giant dinosaur in the front lobby!
And trulls the Schiele has a pretty special place in my heart since it’s where my girls (when they were a few years younger) would play on random weekdays. We spent many hours wondering halls and exporting the planetarium. It’s really some of my favorite memories from their childhood.
And Amy and Michale both work in scientific fields, so it’s really fitting for them to have their reception at a venue which felt like “them”. Congratulations and wishing you all a lifetime of joy!!
